1.A Govt. Registered Society ( Registered under the West Bengal Society Registration ACT XXVI , 1961. bearing Registration No: S/2L/3626 , dated : 9th April’2013 ) formed in the year 2013.
An ISO 9001 : 2015 & ISO 29990 : 2010 CERTIFIED INSTITUTION.
2.S.G.E.I formed the Industrial Training Institute ( Known as “Siliguri Global Pvt. Industrial Training Institute” – affiliated under National Council for Vocational Training , New Delhi. – Registration No: PR19000141 , dated: 30/07/2015 ) in the year 2015. S.G.E.I got the affiliation of ELECTRICIAN TRADE ( 1+1+1 ) Units and FITTER TRADE ( 1+1+1 ) Units in the year 2015 and again applied and got the affiliation of another ELECTRICIAN TRADE ( 1+1+1 ) Units in the Year 2016.
3.S.G.E.I become the “TRAINING CENTER” under the scheme of PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKASH YOJONA ( P.M.K.V.Y – I ) ( T.C ID. - 51952 : under the Training Provider, Indian Society for Youth Empowerment, New Delhi ). At this stage S.G.E.I trained ( 60 + 80 ) 140 candidates under the trades of “ LEATHE OPERATOR & WELDING ASSISTANT” and placed about more than 70% of the trainees in the year 2016.
4.S.G.E.I also got registered under NITI AAYOG in the year 2016 ( Unique ID No.: WB/2016/0100629 )
5.S.G.E.I become the “TRAINING PROVIDER” under the PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKASH YOJONA ( P.M.K.V.Y – II ) ( T.P No. - )
6. S.G.E.I has also streached its wings over the border of West Bengal by creating its FIRST SUB-UNIT at Bandipoda, State of Jammu & Kashmir, India known as “J & K INSTITUTE OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH CENTER“ in the year 2017, to run the P.M.K.V.Y – II scheme and got the allotment of ( 60 + 60 seats ) for the trades of “Self-Employed Tailor” and “ Customer Care Executive – Call Centre” and which is on progress and at its fag end.
7.S.G.E.I become the “TRAINING PARTNER” of NATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, ( Certficate No: NSDC/ 2018-19/3598 , dated: 1st April’2018 ) in the year 2018.
8.S.G.E.I has got registered under the “OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF INCOME TAX ( EXEMPTIONS ), Kolkata, West Bengal, U/S 12AA( 1 )( b )( i ) bearing Unique Registration Number( URN )- AAJAS6833R/10/17-18/18-19/S-0010 , to devote itself for charitable purposes of Education & Advancement of any other object of General Public Utility. S.G.E.I has also applied for the Registration under section 80G of INCOME TAX, on 3rd May’2018.
9.In the year 2018, S.G.E.I has also been recognized as the III- STAR Category Institution under the I.T.I Grading system analyzed by CRISIL and monitored by MINISTRY OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTERPRENEURSHIP ( Directorate General of Training, Govt. of INDIA )
